TIP: The best advice from EVERY Networking Professional in our industry is to detach from the outcome and not to make assumptions. If your intention for the outcome is to enroll everyone, then your prospective members will feel this every time and think you are selling. Your goal is to engage, create a relationship, and discover what the prospective member wants and needs. Your job is to listen and ask questions, PERIOD. People really want to talk about themselves and to be HEARD, REALLY. If you can learn to get out of your own way, your business will flourish. Leave yourself at the door and remember, your prospect only wants to know what is in it for him.
Our favorite way to approach prospective members is to request permission to share Young Living with them. We do this by saying:

Knowing HOW to speak to your potential member is a KEY element in attracting, enrolling and empowering new members. The creators of YLSS, say that when they changed their language to request permission to share information about what YL has to offer it expanded their business like never before.
"Fire-hosing" your prospective member will not only alienate them, it will immediately turn them off to what you want to share; even if you have their best interest at heart.

If their answer is "yes", then ask for contact information and when would be a good time to call them to share the information. Your goal is get the information and make an appointment. If you are in a location that would allow you to sit down with that person immediately, you both have about an hour and you have your training manual/materials with you then go ahead and begin. If the location and timing does not lend itself to this scenario then take their number and email and schedule a consult. A rushed situation is usually ineffective. Why? The prospective member can NOT actually hear what you are trying to share. If you can schedule a consult time on the spot, it is MORE EFFECTIVE.
If their answer is "no", then you've qualified that your prospect is not ready to hear what you have to offer and would probably be a waste of your time. First ask, "May I ask why" and if they are still resistant, thank them and move on, however you can ask them if they would like to receive your newsletter. If yes, get their info and put into Marketing Scents, a way of continuously dripping on them. Hopefully when they are ready, they will remember how you did not push them or waste their time and will contact you.
Memorizing your scripts and practicing them daily will give you the best advantage in this business! If your intention is to build a successful, strong business that enrolls new members with velocity and ease, then you will spend MOST of your time learning the language. You will quickly see how ineffective not using this language is and will be left wondering why you were unable to close, why people are not calling you back and why you can't enroll anyone. This language effectively allows people to close their own deal. Yes, that's what we said! Allow them to close their own deal and you will grow your business quickly and become the trainer who turns around and trains others in your organization to do the same thing.

TIP
Remember mom or dad saying, "Practice makes perfect?" Well mom and dad were right! The way to change your language is by practicing scripts. Don't waste your time learning every product YL has or how every oil works.
The most effective use of your time right now is to practice your language or scripts.
