2) Anyone you may think is not interested

3) Anyone you gave a presentation to but didn't follow-up with

What are the different types of ways to apologize?

1) Email or Card

2) Phone Call

3) Voice Mail Message

Sample Email/Card (you can also use this as a template to make a phone call):

Dear Tara,
I owe you an apology.  Several months ago I contacted you regarding my Young Living business.  At the time I was very new in the business and in my enthusiasm to (enroll you as a member/ have you as my partner), I may have appeared a little bit pushy or aggressive.  For this I owe you an apology.

In the last several months I have received some excellent training and coaching on how to professionally build a Young Living business with a step-by-step (or click-by-click) online system.  I would appreciate the opportunity to have a second chance to explain my business to you and see if there is any attraction for you at this time.  If not, I promise there will be no hard feelings whatsoever.

I will be calling you in the next few days to see if you have any interest.  If so, we can set a time to look at the program.  If not, just let me know when I call.  I will not attempt to sell you on this call.

Your friend, Barbara Johnson

Another example of an apology letter:

Hi Amy,

I owe you an apology.  I did not confirm our appointment and I realize that may have missed the opportunity to learn about what you are looking for and to see if what Young Living has to offer is right for you.  Remember how you mentioned to me that you were looking for a job.  Well at that time I didn't and still don't want to bombard you with something that is not for you, but I also want to (if I may) show you a video that may help explain what it is that I do.  click below to watch if you are interested... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sY2Nfoxz058

You know how people today are struggling for with both their health and finances, well what I do is help empower them to achieve either good health or better finances or both with support, training and a dedicated team that is there to help you make that happen....as a PT or a FT "job".  This is my FT "job" (although I like to think of it as play because I get to empower and hang out with all these amazing people all day and help them to solve their problems. I'm my own boss, with my own hours, no commute and I have the opportunity to travel a lot and yet be there for my family).

This may or may not be for you and I am the easiest person to "get rid of" lol, as I am only looking to work with people who are interested and want this sort of lifestyle.  Just let me know what you liked best about the video and if is still something you would like to know more about because I have another thing I would like to share with you.

Thanks and have a wonderful day!  Kim

Why Apologize?

You would want to apologize if you...
1) ...Vomited information about how to use essential oils; how YL could save someone's life; scared them away due to TMI.
2) ...had a rushed, poorly organized or ineffective presentation.
3) ...did not have enough knowledge or effective resource with you to properly explain your program or products.
4) ...caught them at the wrong time.
5) ...did not stay in touch as you should have done or follow up like you promised (we've all been here).
